Nestled in the northwest corner of Clermont County, Miami Township is centrally located along the I-275 business loop. Originally founded in 1801 as O'Bannon Township, Miami Township has seen tremendous growth since 1960 as the township transformed from a rural countryside to a bustling suburban community.

Tax Information Income Tax:
None; Townships are prohibited by state law from imposing an earnings tax.

Property Taxes
The amount of millage for township, county, vocational school, and library purposes are the same throughout the township, however, property tax millage differs for each respective school district. Property tax is assessed on 35% of the total valuation of property, e.g. $100,000 home is taxed at $35,000 ($1000,000 x 3.5).

Other Services Water and Sewer:The Clermont County Water and Sewer District provide services to the majority of Township residents and businesses. The water and sewer rates are very competitive with rates provided by area water and sewer providers.

Waste Removal:
Township residents and businesses contract individually for waste removal services. The two companies providing service currently are Rumpke: 1-800-626-3136 and CSI (BFI/Clermont County Waste Removal): (513) 771-4200.

Electricity:
Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company provides this service to all Township residents and businesses.
