Boulevard District
The Boulevard links the Town center with the civic center, yet serves
as a distinct district with its own character as well. The plan
provides for a transformation of the existing three lane highway into
a four lane boulevard with extensive landscaped medians and sidewalks
along both sides. A mixture of retail and office uses will line the
boulevard that can be accessed by both the pedestrian and the
automobile. Behind the businesses on the south side of the boulevard,
residential uses are proposed that will look over a proposed linear
park that will be designed along an existing ravine. This linear park
will also serve as the stormwater retention area for the redeveloped
area.
