The Miami Township Zoning Commission did not meet in December 2007 due to a lack of agenda items.

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, November 8, 2007 and discussed the following:

[Case 520]   Applicant: Miami Township.  The Miami Township Zoning Commission continued the public hearing on
                   revisions to Chapter 20 of the Miami Township Zoning Resolution - Adult Entertainment.  After reviewing
                   changes to the proposed amendment and closing the public hearing, the Zoning Commission voted to
                   recommend the Board of Trustees approved the text amendment.    

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, October 4, 2007 and discussed the following:

[Case 520]   Applicant: Miami Township.  The Miami Township Zoning Commission held a public hearing on
                   revisions to Chapter 20 of the Miami Township Zoning Resolution - Adult Entertainment.  Commission
                   members needed more time to consider some aspects of the revision and continued the hearing until
                   November 8, 2007.

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, September 6, 2007 and discussed the following:

The Commission held a worksession to discuss proposed amendments to Chapter 20 of the Zoning Resolution as it
relates to Adult Entertainment.  The Commission set a public hearing for October 4, 2007. 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission did not meet on Thursday, August 2, 2007. 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission did not meet on Thursday, July 5, 2007. 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, June 7, 2007 and considered and took action on the following: 

[Case 519]   Applicant: Doug Portman.  The applicant requested a zone change from "R-1" Single Family to "O"
                   Professional Office for the purpose of constructing a Medical Arts Facility.  The property
                   is located on the north side of Wards Corner Road east of I-275.   The proposed building will be 7,700 square
                   feet.  After a public hearing the Zoning Commission voted to recommend the Board of Trustees approve the
                   zone change request.

 

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, May 3, 2007 and considered and took action on the following: 

The Zoning Commission accepted Zoning Case 519, Doug Portman, applicant and set a public hearing for the case for 
June 7, 2007 at 7:30 PM

 

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, April 5, 2007 and considered and took action on the following: 

[Case 517]   Applicant: Extendicare.  The applicant requested a zone change from "R-2" Single Family to B-1
                   Neighborhood Business for the purpose of constructing an Assisted Living Facility.  The property
                   is located on the west side of Cook Road opposite Newberry Street.   The proposed building will be
                   two stories and will contain 60 units.  After a public hearing the Zoning Commission recommended 
                   the zone change request be approved with conditions including a Planned Business Development Overlay;
                   a landscape plan, and a lighting plan.   The Township Board of trustees will hold its public hearing in May 
                   at a date to be announced.

[Case 518]   Applicant: Miami Township Zoning Commission.  This case was a text amendment revising several 
                   sections the Miami Township Zoning Resolution.  The major revisions related to housing in business
                   districts, setbacks for corner lots in traditional neighborhood developments and modifications to 
                   approved plans in the Planned Business District .   After a public hearing the Zoning Commission  
                   voted to recommend the Township Trustees adopt the proposed amendments.

 

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, March 1, 2007 and considered and took action on the following: 

[Case 516]   Applicant: MV Communities.  The applicant requested a zone change from "O" Professional Office to B-1
                   Neighborhood Business for the purpose of constructing a Independent/Assisted Living Facility.  The property
                   is located on the west side of Wolfpen Pleasant Road opposite Allen Drive.   The proposed building will be
                   three stories and will contain 120-130 units.  After a public hearing the Zoning Commission recommended 
                   the zone change request be approved with conditions including a Planned Business Development Overlay;
                   a plan revision process; the submission of architectural elevation drawings and a lighting plan.   The Township
                   Board of trustees will hold its public hearing on April 16, 2007 at 7:00 PM.

 

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, February 1, 2007 and considered and took action on the following: 

There were no public hearings and no action was taken by the Zoning Commission.  The Zoning Commission held a worksession on their rules and procedures.

 

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, January 4, 2007 and considered and took action on the following: 

[Case 514]   Applicant: Miami Township Zoning Commission.  This case was a text amendment revising several 
                   sections the Miami Township Zoning Resolution.  The major revisions related to buffer yards, business
                   district setbacks and fencing.   After a public hearing the Zoning Commission  voted to recommend the
                   Township Trustees adopt the proposed amendments.

[Case 515]   Applicant:  The Philcon Group.  This case was a proposal to rezone 4.88 acres from R-2 Single Family to
                  B-1 Neighborhood Business with a Planned Business Development Overlay.  The proposal was to construct
                  14 condominium units.  After a public hearing the Zoning Commission voted to approve the zone change
                  request with conditions relating to buffering and entry monumentation.
