The Miami Township Fire/EMS, the
Miami Township Police Department, VISION2025 Comprehensive Planning
Committee and the Milford-Miami Ministries each won major civic awards
from the Clermont 20/20 organization.
The Miami Township Fire/EMS will
receive the “Health/Health Care” award that is given to an
individual or organization that has made an impact to the health and
wellness of our citizens including agencies, outreach programs,
professionals and advocacy. The Department will be recognized for its
CPR training programs and other outreach programs in the community.
The Miami Township Police
Department will receive the “Safety & Justice” award
for making an impact on the safety and well-being of our
citizens and for being an exemplary law enforcement agency in the
county. The Department was specifically recognized for its
far-reaching community-oriented programs, its Citizens Police Academy,
its Patrol and Investigative units, as well as its commitment to
county-wide law enforcement activities.
The VISION2025 Comprehensive
Planning Committee, which worked under the Community Development
Department, was recognized for its volunteer support to the Miami
Township community for helping to shape the township’s land-use
plan.
The Milford-Miami Ministries will
receive the “Human Services” that goees to nn individual,
organization, agency or program that has made a contribution to the
needs and concerns of our citizens in Clermont County.
Each of the groups will be honored
at a banquet on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Eastgate Holiday Inn. More
than 100 organizations were nominated for the awards, and 15 will be
honored that evening.
