Mike Mills has been in Law Enforcement since 1993.
He began his career with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer and a Deputy Sheriff. In 1997 he was hired by the Union Township Police Department as a road patrol officer. Throughout his career at Union Township he also served as a Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Staff Services Sergeant and Administrative Sergeant.
His duties as the Administrative Sergeant consisted of numerous responsibilities concerning the facility, equipment, and the 911 Communications Center. He also managed the Accreditation process for the Nationally Accredited Police Department and the Communications Center.
Mike’s educational background consists of an Associate’s Degree from Cincinnati State and a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and Human Services from the University of Cincinnati. He attended the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute Staff & Command where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
He was awarded the Clermont County Police Officer of the Year in 2005 and The Greater Cincinnati Police Officer of the Year in 2006.
Mike was hired as the Assistant Chief for the Miami Township Police Department on March 24, 2014.
