Powerful earthquakes and volcanoes have been more evident and violent this year, the north pole is heading for Russia and the Pacific Ocean is rapidly cooling. Are these things related and are we really on the verge of the next Ice Age? Skyeye Weather Meteorologist Rich Apuzzo will show you what's happening in space and around the world, above and below the earth's surface...and what that means for the coming winter and possibly many years ahead. Bring your lawn chair and join us on the parade route that starts at Miami Plaza proceeds along Business 28 to Meijer. Enjoy the sights & sounds of the holiday with High School marching bands, lighted floats, businesses, Miami Township Fire, Police, Service & Recreation Departments, churches, school groups & civic organizations participate to make this a fun community event. If you are interested in participating contact Miami Township Recreation Department at 248-3727 to get a copy of the rules and registration information. The registration fee is $25 per entry.

This activity is designed for families with kids. Join us to make some awesome holiday gifts as we learn with clay and pottery paints. We'll create some really cool pieces from clay that will get fired in the kiln. Then we'll paint them and some other pieces using mega-fun techniques. If you have taken this class before come and check out all the new projects! Kids must be supervised with an adult. This class is in partnership with Ann Flynn, Star Glazers. All supplies provided. The created work will be returned to the Miami Township Civic Center for pick up at a later date
