From the Director
Summer is finally here!. It’s a welcome change for us here in the midwest. As seasons change so do our lives and routines. This fall I will take on a new label not only am I a “baby boomer” but I will also become an “empty nester” as my youngest of three leaves for college. With this new found status I am told I will have lots of time for me. I find this a little daunting as my life has revolved around my children and their activities for as long as I can remember. Luckily we have developed lots of adult programs that I can fill my time with and forge some new relationships and friendships. If you have not noticed we have developed a great variety of health and wellness programs for people at all fitness levels. Our lineup includes Stress Free Yoga, Zumba and Zumba Gold, Mat Pilates, Water Aerobics and a brand new class debuting this summer called LaBlast. If you watch Dancing With the Stars and want to try a few of the dance moves this is for you. It’s a high energy dance class that will challenge all fitness levels so take a chance and try a new class out.
It’s not too late to have your child participate in one of our great summer camps. There are still some spots left and your child will definitely have a blast. Our website will show which camps have current openings. We are very lucky to partner with vendors like Skyhawk’s Sports Camps and Young Rembrandts. They have such great expertise in their various camps and really provide a quality experience for your child.
If you are looking for some free entertainment this summer head over to Community Park and take in a concert. We have some really good groups that will appeal to people of all ages. For our final concert of the summer we host the Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra. If you have not yet heard them they are truly amazing and such a pleasure to listen to.
