The Miami Township Board of Trustees met in special session on Saturday, September 19, 1998 at 1:00 PM at the Miami Township Civic Building. The purpose of the meeting was to interview Fire/EMS Lieutenant candidates and Police Records Clerk candidates. Chairperson Edwin H. Humphrey called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Miami Township Clerk, Eric C. Ferry called the roll. Attending were; Edwin H. Humphrey, Joseph W. Uecker and Jean Schmidt.
Mr. Uecker made a motion to go into executive session to conduct the interviews of Fire/EMS Lieutenant candidates and Police Records Clerk candidates. Mrs. Schmidt seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."

Mr. Uecker made a motion to come out of Executive Session. Mrs. Schmidt seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."
Mrs. Schmidt made a motion to promote Barry Mesley and Steve Monterosso to Fire/EMS Lieutenants. Mr. Uecker seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."
Mrs. Schmidt made a motion to hire Diane Slagle as a full-time Police Records Clerk at $10.00 per hour. Mr. Uecker seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."
Mrs. Schmidt made a motion to hire Lisa Doss as a part-time Police Records Clerk at $10.00 per hour. Mr. Uecker seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."
Mr. Uecker made a motion to authorize the Administrator to sign a contract for a Safe Communities Video Project. Mrs. Schmidt seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."
Mrs. Schmidt made a motion to hire Ross Pawlak as a part-time Fire Fighter 1/EMT at a rate of $8.15 per hour effective September 19,1998. Mr. Uecker seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all voted "AYE."
With no other business to come before the Board, Chairperson Humphrey adjourned the meeting at 3:50 PM.
