The Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio met in special session at the Miami Township Civic Building on December 7, 2004 with the following members present: Edwin H. Humphrey and Mary Makley Wolff.
MRS. WOLFF made a motion to adopt the following Resolution:
RESOLUTION APPROVING TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES AND TOWNSHIP CLERK, DISPENSING WITH THE SECOND READING
WHEREAS, the Board of Township Trustees and Township Clerk are required to attend various out-of-township conferences, meetings, training programs that are necessary in the performance of their township duties and responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio ("Board of Trustees") desires to establish a blanket annual travel authorization for each member of the Board of Trustees and Township Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio by authority of Chapter 504 of the Ohio Revised Code, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the members of the Board of Trustees and Township Clerk are hereby authorized to attend various out-of-township conferences, meetings, training programs that are necessary in the performance of their township duties and responsibilities during calendar year 2005.
SECTION 2: That the maximum travel expenses to be incurred by the members of the Board of Trustees and Township Clerk for all out-of-township travel during 2005 shall be set at $15,000.
SECTION 3: The Board does hereby dispense with the requirement that this Resolution be read on two separate days, pursuant to Section 504.10 of the Ohio Revised Code, and authorizes the adoption of this Resolution upon its first reading.
SECTION 4: That this Board hereby finds and determines that all formal
actions relative to the passage of this Resolution were taken in an open meeting
of this Board, and that all deliberations of this Board and of its Committees,
if any, which resulted in formal action, were taken in meetings open to the
public, in full compliance with applicable legal requirements, including Section
121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by
law.
