Message from the President:
The Citizen's Police Academy
Alumni Association (CPAAA) is comprised of a remarkable group of
volunteers, who provide a significant service to the residents of
Miami Township. In addition to the hours donated to numerous community
events during the year, the CPAAA supports the police department by
performing routine, non-emergency duties, which would otherwise
require a police officer's valuable time. This keeps more police on
the streets and results in financial savings for the residents of
Miami Township.
The Citizen's Police Academy training course will provide you with an in depth look at how Miami Township functions (click on the Citizen's Academy link under Community & Programs to learn more). At our monthly meetings you will hear from a variety of speakers, discussing many different and interesting topics. Past speakers have included the FBI, DEA, Clermont County Swat Team, Search and Rescue, County Prosecutors and many more. Along with getting to know the other volunteers through community events and meetings, CPAAA also offers opportunities for its members and their families to gather socially.
So give us a call and find out how you can become a member of the CPAAA family. It's a decision you will never regret!
We would like to offer our thanks and appreciation to Chief Steven Bailey, our sponsor Captain Cliff Rowland and the other fine officers and staff members of the Miami Township Police Department.
Sincerely,
Michael Crawford
